Live Bait at Cypremort Point?

Does anyone know if any of the stores by the Cypremort Point State Park Landing have live bait for sale?

Last time I went they had a sign that said "Live Bait" but they didn't have any.

Thanks in advance.

They have it during the inshore shrimp season.

Is that currently open?

They were having problems keeping bait alive because the water was so fresh

Bait

Buy a 5-8' Bett's cast net. It'll add 30-90 minutes to your fishing trip, but it's generally worth it.

I was at dockside today. They had some live shrimp, but we only bought some fresh/IQF shrimp.

Yes, they will have live bait tomorrow morning

Give Iberia Outboards a call. They have live bait most of the time. Don't count on that store at the point. They don't know how to run a business and they will probably be out of business soon.

With comments like that, may be sooner... Don't know 'em and they may not know yet how to best run a business, but they have invested their time, own money to live the American dream of owning own business. And I for one, hope they can make it because I like being able to buy at the 'pernt. And I have bought live bait there. Guy running the place was very nice and helpful.

X2, I've bought from them several times and the woman and the man running it seem to be very nice and anxious to help fishermen. They don't mind passing on tips from other fisherman to give us a heads up. I hope they survive and proper.
