Reds and specks

Im wanting to take my cousin red and speck fishing around Big Lake or LNG. He's never really been red or speck fishing like most people on here has been. I've always went to the weirs in the fall to catch reds. Just need some advice on were to go and what to use. I plan on stopping at or putting in at Calcaseau Point to pick up some live shrimp. Any help is appreciated.

Weirs were dead today.
South end of the lake was muddy.
Not sure what will change by the weekend.
Just keep lookin at the reports.

Soak some bait in LNG, bound to catch something. I bet Turners with skrimps under a cork would be good now.

is there any decent marsh to chase some reds between i2-10 and s. end of big lake

haymark terminal/greywood, west of channel marker 69 north of hog island, sabine nwr saltwater side on north and south west cove

reds should be just about anywhere you stop the boat, try rocks along the channel, cuts, points.....
