Reds & Trout 9/17/17

Today I had Gary Guzzardo and his son Zack along with friends Horace and Dillon. It was a near perfect morning with calm winds, smooth seas, and plenty of sunshine. Trout fishing was first up for the day and we started working birds along of the coast of lower Terrebonne Parish. There were plenty of shrimp and birds working them but the speckled trout were particular about eating this morning. We had to work for them bouncing along oyster reefs and picking up a few here and there. There were a few reds in the mix this morning so we iced those down along with the trout in the big KYSEK. Matrix shad double rigged and under a cork worked well today with most trout coming on Shrimp Creole and Lemonhead. Once the tide stalled out on us we headed for some redfish holes and baited up with cracked crab. It didn't take long and the big reds were screaming drags. Everyone had a great time today including me! Thanks guys and hope to see y'all again.
