Lower Cameron dredging

The dredging project has been on hold for several days due to unexpectedly high amounts of shell in the Cameron Loop. The contractor
is planning to move the disposal site to the east side of the Cameron Jetties once a permit is received. He will also bring in a larger dredge
if needed. Moving the spoil site will avoid having to pump material under the ship channel, which is 70-80 feet deep near the mouth. The
dredge material will also help repair some of the erosion that has threatened the Jetty Pier Park.
