civil war era gun

Anyone know anything about them??
Got a long gun from my grandparents witch came from my grandma granddaddy. I have learned it was a flint lock and changed to cap in 1833 in pa.(where there from) But no one can tell me what the other marks on the barrel. It's smooth barrel 60 cal. And still fully functional.
Anyone have any ideas where to get it apprised at?? Don't want to mail it anywhere cause don't know what it's worth, rather drive with it with me. Any leads or help would be greatly revived!!
Thanks ,
Andy

On a serious note...it's a long shot but maybe find a local reenactment and bring it there. Someone there may know at least some history on it

Haul it over to Cajun Pawn Stars in Alexandria. He has experts that look at old guns, with something as cool as that you might even wind up on the show.

I wouldn't be afraid to bring it too Gator Guns on Cities Service Hwy in Sulphur.

I'm not saying he is an expert but the old man has been selling guns and putting on gun shows as long as we been alive.

I bet he has seen one through his days.... If not I guarantee you he can refer someone.
