McNeese Fishing
 

Hi everyone, my name is Keith Suire Jr and I am the president of the fishing club at McNeese. We just started the organization last year and it is turning out to be a success. Also we are looking for any kind of help for support, sponsorships etc. This is a student organization so expenses come out of our pockets with no help from the school.

Man that's great! Can you post a schedule of upcoming tournaments?

I will post a schedule as soon as we get one organized and I'm hoping to put on a fundraising tournament some time during the early part of next year. We will be fishing the FLW college series, B.A.S.S. , and Boat US.

I saw the team this past spring at Buckeye marina for a weigh in. Had some very slick jerseys on. I wish the team was going when I was in school there.

My wife was trying to get me one of their fishing shirts last yr but no luck..... she said they was really nice looking.

I told my wife to offer the some extra points on a math test for one but she has to be so by the book...... needless to say I don't have one still:(

Your wife teaches math at McNeese?

I know it's shocking that someone that's,,,,,,well let's just leave it like that could be married to someone so smart. ;-)

Lol thats not what I meant. I took a lot of math courses there, I only had one lady though, last name Aucoin

Lol. I figured that it was that either you might've had her as a teacher or something along those lines. But I never pass up an opportunity to get a cheap jab at him. His wife's last name is Andrus.

Keith, I work at McNeese in the IT Department, give me a call at 4998 on campus phone and I will try to get some Vendors to possibly sponsor the team.

Is Andrew Gary on your team?

She's been there 7yrs as a teacher and before she taught as an undergrad about 4 yrs

That is awesome, McNeese actually got a bass club now. I might have finished if I had fishing to force me to do better. Good luck to ya'll, hope it becomes a big thing around here.

Sorry everyone for not replying It has been a busy few weeks. I have talked to the members about selling some jerseys and it wasnt agreed on. We are going to get some other shirts made for a fundraiser that will be similar though. I will be meeting all of the new members next week and then we will start planning and organizing everything for the season. I appreciate the help everyone!

If you can keep us up to date on what yall are doing, how yall are doing, and if yall need help with anything. I'm sure there are quite a few people here that wish we could have done this and wouldn't mind helping where we could for yall to keep this going.
