1978 BW Montauk 17 w 99 Evinrude (208 hrs) $5800
 

Selling my 17 Boston Whaler Montauk. Boat is a 1978 BW. Has a 1999 Evinrude 90 with verified 208 hours. I?ve had it for 5 years and put about 100 hours on it, fishing the bay a little each year. Engine runs great. Just had all fuel system redone in maintenance (tank drained and cleaned, new fuel lines, etc). Compression test is solid, lower unit etc checks out. Have documentation. All electronics work. Has marine radio, antenna, ?Around engine? ski tow bar installed. Also has large stainless steel platform on rear wih 2 seats, covering fuel tank, oil, batteries and 2 large compartments for storage of life jackets etc. Boat has double console on right side. Plenty of room for 100 gal ice chest up front. I?ve fished 3 people comfortably all over.

Hull is 40 years old so it has some use looks to it but its a BW and hull/transom is as solid as they come, transom, hull is solid with no soft spots. hull is composite foam and is unsinkable. Trailer is in good shape. All lights etc work. MOtor was maintained by Bill at Master Marine on Johnston. Also has a brand new tilt/trim ?motor? within last year and steering wheel, column/helm.

Only work needed is installation of new windshield (I.e. holes drilled and screws, spacers installed). Just bought a brand new from online but haven?t had time to install. 3 year Saltwater Minnkota Riptide 55lb included. Boat is ready to fish outside of windshield install. Also included is hummingbird transducer that I don?t need. All batteries etc are in good condition. Boat cover is included.
