Venice in the river

Went to the post office yesterday and on the way back I made a stop for cat food (my way)

They are not spoiled they are just well taken care of.

Today I had an inshore trip with a couple from Baltimore Maryland. We hit the water and it was not long before we had bent rods.

The action was a lot slower today but the best one was when the wife hooked up to a big one and she was getting sore from the battle of nice redfish. She and her husband change rods so he can land the fish. Suddenly the rod she was holding almost gets pulled out of her hand. We have a double on and she had no choice but to WOMAN up. Once the excitement was over we took a break for a photo opp and a well deserved cold drink.

This was our limit fish being hauled in.

We got a limit of nice reds and a bunch of other insidental fish including lady fish, black drum, jack cravelle and the ever present hard head catfish. I did not find any trout or flounder and once at the dock I learned I should have gone right instead of left. Some trout are showing up but not in numbers yet. The best bet at this time is to target the reds. After the first hour or two with a limit you can run to other areas looking for trout and flounder. Just don't go where I went today.

We will be heading offshore in the morning.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.

Nice report Capt.
Our cat loves it when I'm cleaning fish and can get a few scraps.
