Headed south out of the Mermantau River on Sunday to wet some lines. It didn't take long to catch our 4 limits of snapper. On the way back we hit a few closer rigs and picked up 3 nice ling. We were back at the dock at 12:30-1:00.

Nice haul! I am going on an offshore trip kayak trip next weekend to see if I can catch a few cobia. I am trying to mark off all of the pelagic species in a yak!

Nice haul there Chip! Did y'all try for specks at any of the closer rigs?

No we didn't, On the way back, they had 3 boats anchored around 1 rig so we pulled in to see what was happening and we saw 1 boat catch a nice speck.

Caught snapper 40ish miles out and cobia were caught between 20 - 30 miles out on the way back.
