Which reels

Well my birthday is coming up soon. Thinking a new rod and reel is going to be a necessary birthday present. I'm just hung up on which reel to get. I have very limited experience with the more high dollar reels and am looking for some input. I know it's a can of worms but it'll be interesting. Considering either a revo, curado, or one of the Lews reels. So let's hear all the wonderful stories and horror stories that come along with these reels.

I love my Lews baitcaster.
Also love my shimano spinning reel.

Cant go wrong. Either way you are getting a top notch product.

Shimano may have the advantage as far as warranty.

I love my lews tournament pro and inshore. I hear the new cur ado is really good but until lews disappoints me like curado did, I'm sticking with lews

Curado, chronarch or core depending on your price range.

This reel casts further than my curado.

Prob I had with both of my lews came when I was bass fishing and got a strike as soon as the bait hit the water. I set the hook at the same time as I "clicked" the spool from stopping and it misses gears before catching. Curado with upgraded boca bearings would be my choice.

Im partial to shimano products, but all three are good reels. Now you need to get a rod from Jchief to put it on

You bought the G series Curado didn't you?

Chronarch. They were on sale at Academy last month for $179.

I've caught a lot of reds specks and flounder without a glitch. Both my boys have 2 each without a glitch. Friends have them without a glitch. Just my personal experience.

I own shimano and lews....lews makes a nice smooth reel but shimano got em beat with reliability.

With reds and specks it's fine but setting the hook through soft plastic for bass is a different hook set. Must have gave my reel a virus.

i have a revo S that is about 4 years old, and a revo SX that is about 3 years old. Awesome reels in my book. I casted a Lews and it felt great. Can't go wrong with any of these, or a Shimano. I have never owned a "HIGH DOLLAR" reel, but all of these "mid grade" reels have done the job for me.
