Bon fires on the Levee

As the Christmas season begins I thought you guys might like the story and videos we wrote about the bon fires on the levee. If yo get the chance its a wonderful way to spend Christmas eve afternoon and night. This story is about our trip up river to mass on Chistmas eve. Get your favorite beverage and sit back and put the videos full screen and pretend ya in the back seat as we ride along the river.

Merci Cappy! I've read about it but have never had the privilege of seeing it. Hopefully within the next few years my wife and I can make the trip across the state. May you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Tim

I went a couple years, even helped my brother in law build..... err even build a bon fire for my brother in law because his *** is 400 lbs and runs out of breath because after walking 2 steps. I admire the tradition but it aint for me, its something everybody should see once in their life. The bonfire on the side of us had $10,000 of fireworks on it, that makes a lot of noise!!

i been fortunate, my wife is from lutcher, and lived on river road. Ive missed one christmas eve in 34 years. Although its not as exciting as it used to be, it's still a family tradition.
