Dude 10 yrs ago they were 3 feet!!

I agree, that's some real soft meat and a pole saw will handle up on them no problem.

Better have plenty of wasp spray if you start cutting them. They loves it under them leaves. Kinda hard to get away from them too when your 15' up on a ladder. I quit getting them washingtonias at my nursery,because of this very reason. They just look rough if you don't keep them trimmed,and they will grow about 3' of trunk a year. They will easily get another 20'+ taller too!

better have a motor on that pole saw;) Once they dry out like that its not as easy as you think.lol The whole branch gives when you start pulling on that saw. A sawsall with a branch cutting blade works wonders,just watch out for the shark teethe on the stems.
