Yes they are. I had never tried them, just using them for bait or releasing them. Until BeachGeek told us how good they are.

My wife is cooking fish tacos even as we speak. The ones from the whiting in the video were excellent and they are looking good tonight.

They're also call ground mullet or at least in Mississippi that is what they're called. My grandpa use to cook them all the time; we would catch them fairly regularly in the nets when I worked on his boats, and yes, they're very good eating.


they're running very good right now along the NC beaches... to bad my Tidewater is at the manufacture for the 6 time for the same issue.
