November Crabbing

The family and I are going in to Lake Charles this weekend, and I was thinking of doing some crabbing and maybe wetting a line.

Is the crabbing any good in November? Only time I've ever crabbed (which is admittedly not often) is spring or summer.

crabs

Some slowing down of catching during cooler weather but still dooable. Try to pick a warmer day if u can and your catch may be better

I think they can be caught year round if it doesn't get too cold. I think I read once that they get lethargic if the water temp gets around 50. But the temps are still around 70 I think. Like they say, you won't know unless you go.

Water Is still warm enough for crabbing.... Water still in 70's... Got to get in mid 50's before crabs shut down... Just my 2 cents.

Crabs still active by the weirs in the marsh. (If u gotta boat). Saw some people crabbing today. We Probably fed them $10 worth of live shrimp trying to fish! Lol
