$50.00 Lesson
 

I recently asked my friend's daughter what she wanted to be when she grows
up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents,
liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were
President what would be the first thing you would do?"

She replied!, "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people." Her
parents beamed.

"Wow...what a worthy goal." I told her, "But you don't have to wait until
you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn,
pull weeds, and sweep my floors, and I'll you $50. Then I'll take you
over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give
him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the
eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and
you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

What a bunch of crap not to mention plagiarizing one self. This "thing" has been circulating around the internet for a couple years that I know of. Probably claims to be a Christian too...go figure!!!

Sounds like a typical liberal democrat to me. and yes i am a Christian, God fearing ,gun toting . conservative Libertarian.

I am all for giving and helping those in need. But, if I am understanding you correctly, you seem to think that the hard working Christian that God has blessed with a job, should give their goods away to anyone in need regardless of whether or not it is really good for them. I'm curious to know if you think Christians should be brainless pushovers.

Totally the reason why we have a stupid gov't, too bad nothing will ever get resolved.

What is a "bunch of crap" is supporting low life "suckers" who take money from men and women who work their azz off to barely make it by. Im all for helping those who need it, but lifers who grow up under that system and are taught those ways take so much from working citizens as well as make a terrible name for themselves.

I was taught "if you dont work, you dont eat." Take away lifers benefits and I guarantee they wont be sitting on their azz all day. Hell, they may even stay in school past 10th grade!

OH CRAP...... we been there for awhile so whats next they gonna start deporting the workers over seas and sending money back here to the lazy :eek:

i work for my money but i dont mind helping someone in need.i know alot of the people askin for handouts probably deserve what they got, but im sure a few of them are people who just had a run of bad luck. i believe in karma. i dont mind helping people mainly cause it makes me feel good.not to ramble but i was at mcdonalds and this guy came up askin me for money for a "sammich" so i gave him some change like a $1-$2 after collecting it he walks out the door so i assume he just doesnt like mcdonalds, even though he was probably going to buy a "rock", well a month later to the day i was back in mcdonalds and as soon as i walk in this guy stopped me and said hey, i was meeting a friend for breakfast and he cancelled. so if you would like you can have this deluxe breakfast (still hot) so immediately i thought about giving that "crackhead" like $2 and now im enjoying a free $6 breakfast.funny how things work out

Just wondering how much have you done in lending a hand to your fellow deadbeats lately. There are alot of people out there without a job because they are looking for a job about like a bank robber looking for a policeman.

I dont mind helping someone out if they need a few bucks to get by but, I would like to chose who gets is and who dont. I give money every month at church, work and at times others by choice to help out both children and adults that need a little help but having some ***** in the white house or any other house take my money aginst my will and him or her GIVE it away to who they think needs it is aload of CRAP :pissed::pissed::pissed::pissed::pissed:
