I've seen them a few places around but can't remember at the moment. Will keep an eye out for you

Academy Outdoors sells them.

Has anyone on here used one of these? It looks good in a picture but it seems it would not be as effective as either pouring crawfish out on a table with a trash can next to it or scooping into a box / tray and having a nearby trash can. With this table, it seems like you lose the best aspects of those two methods. You can't pour the crawfish directly on it because of the big hole in the middle for the trash can. You would have to scoop the crawfish into the four corner areas which would require dragging the ice chest over to the table every time you needed a refill. And you also lose the mobility of using a tray and being able to move around or walking to the ice chest for a refill.

But I may be overlooking the obvious and overthinking it too much. Hopefully someone can shed some light.

We use one. It simplifies the ordeal of having to throw away the scraps. And personally for me, I'd rather just scoop it up into the tray as needed. I prefer mine warm and this way you Have less cold less desirable crawfish.

I'm a fan of the old fashioned, sit at a table with a round, tray and dump your peelings in the trash can when your done and scoop them out of the ice chest to refill your tray and repeat the process.

I get that. Like most things, whatever works best for you is the way to go.

And I would rather sit down to eat them instead of standing.

OP checks Sams, they have them at the Sams in Houma. I've been to a couple boil with them and they okay. I would get this instead..... I have one and I use if for crawfish boils and I also use it when I peel shrimp. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/acad...dCatid=3973150

That table holds enough for me, but what's everybody else going to eat?

wetaline 03-13-2017 11:22 AM

I saw this one at Academy yesterday. The only thing is the areas for crawfish are not very deep: http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/acad...dCatid=4112838

I got one for christmas. It is neet, but if you sit and eat at it it gets tippy if some one leans on it.
