Geez, I know some folks over here that would kill for crabs that size. They weigh more than the trout you catch, W.

I see where the "Redeye squat" came from, and you have been taking credit all this time.....:shaking:

My neighbors family went to Lacassine Pool last week.....but the good bite from the bank was over.

They only caught 9 crabs and several were caught by just walking the bank and dipping them up.

Was your wife in a boat or along the bank?

They went in a boat!!! said the gators were out on the hunt for Chicken quarters!!!

Market Basket has there Chicken leg quarters on sale for $ .39 per lb this week.

I told the wife to get another bag this week. Those crabs can strip a leg quarter in less an hour. Fish heads only last 30 to 45 minutes.

Usually takes about 2 hours for me to cull out 5 dozen crabs.....all 5.5" or larger.

Nice, "W"! How did the boil turn out?

Gerald 07-08-2009 12:25 PM

About a month ago I caught some nice size [6" plus] crabs near the Port. Not a lot of crabs but ended up with about 3 dozen.

Crabbing was slow up at the barrier that day.
