Last minute duck blind for lease

There is a blind that is built and ready to be hunted in Hackberry near black lake for lease for $5,500. This is a marsh lease and the person leasing the blind is Reggie Knoles. I have not hunted this blind and know nothing about it so I cannot personally speak for how the hunting will be. Reggie asked me to post this for him so that is what I am doing. The blind is located on 9,000 or so acre property and there are 12-15 blinds on the property. You can reach Reggie at 337-853-7975, let him know you are replying to the salty Cajun add for the blind near black lake.

I have been told a tunnel hull work be fine or of course a mud motor, only one boat is needed.

And you can believe zero percent of what Reggie tells you about the blind.

I have heard some horror stories about Reggie knoles. Beware.

Big Hutch 10-21-2013 09:52 PM

That's why Reggie didn't post it himself. His reputation precedes him...

I would never lease a blind from Reggie Knowles.

Slidellkid 10-22-2013 08:30 AM

I did and never again. He'd lease you a mud puddle in a Walmart parking lot if he could make a buck.

Top Dawg 10-22-2013 09:05 AM

Not to me to mention 5500 is a lot for a marsh blind.

My buddy leases a few blinds from him and they do well.

If its for lease right now it blows!

Well he's from Lafayette and works in TX and also has about 3 or 4 different leases, one in Tx last year. So he doesn't hunt it a whole lot, b/c it's a long ride from Lafayette. Think he's working on getting a camp in Hackberry though. But last year they had some good hunts. Don't think they shot any limits but always killed. But I bet he didn't make more than 5-6 hunts out there last year. I think he made one teal hunt out there this year and didn't do too well but he said it was covered with big ducks.

For $5,500 I better kill no less than 300 birds a year. And even then, that's a lot of money for a marsh blind.

I am not saying all his blinds suck. I am sure he has some good ones; but, I can guarantee you that he does not care if there was ever a bird killed out of the blind. He leases blinds strickly to make money.

I know a guy that leased from him last year in pine island. He lied about everything he told them. Said they would control the water level for them. Had to wear chestwaders in their pond because it was too deep for hip boots. Had 20 random people around their pond during teal season lining the levees that had "permission". He was unable to contact Reggie the whole season after he got the money.

10 4 Top Dawg. I have heard many, many similar stories

T-TOP 10-22-2013 12:43 PM

There is another guy in gum cove trying to lease marsh blinds for $5000 each. From what i hear they aren't worth $2000. But I think he actually leased a few for that price.... Now this guy wants $5500.... $3500 is high for a marsh blind unless it is just lights out!!
