Reds 1-28-11

Since everyone is posting about catching Reds... I'll do the same. Went Fri morning and the reds were stacked up. Kept 5, tagged 7, and lost a few at the kayak. Mostly caught on swim baits.

On another note...does anyone know where I can catch some specks in my yak?

Nice catch man!

Looks like a good day to me. I wish I could help on the speck ? But I can't find them at all. 4 trip = 1 trout. Not cool.

Nice catch boss man! Were do you launch the yak and catch reds, I'm getting a yak in the next few weeks

PaulMyers 01-30-2011 01:38 PM

My favorite place is W Cove.
What kind of yak are you getting? Are you gonna fish our LKFC tourney?

Yeh I'm gonna try my hardest to, all depends on how my foot heals up I think I get my cast off the week before the tourney

But I'm most likely getting a Hobie Outback, I have found 2 used ones and I'm waiting on income tax then gone get it

If you launch on the north launch at the I-210 bridge in Lake Charles......trout can usually be caught along the ship channel on the dropoffs. Yack fishermen there all the time......very short paddle.
