any help on a versatile reel?

i need a new low profile bait caster and its been kind of hard finding one that is good for freshwater but can also last in saltwater. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :help::help:

Curado E series is my go to.

I recently bought an Abu Garcia Orra and it's a solid Lil reel too.

Get with Duce Rods, check out the Lews they handle. Get you a rod too!

I've tried damn near every brand on the market....can't beat shimano. Find a E series curado, citica,or the chronarch e. Lews are nice and smooth but shimano outshines with durability.

+1 for the curado e series. Love mine. I've heard some talk about the revo but I can't say.

Diawa Coastal does it all! Had to service my curado after only 1 use. Coastal has been going strong for 3 years now........

x2 with the money you spend to have a reel cleaned you can just buy a new one. They cast very well and can hold their on in a fight with a big trout or red!

Are those the h2o's that were on sale for 29.99 for fathers day?

BassYakR 07-02-2012 08:46 PM

Likeuhboss 07-02-2012 08:55 PM

Dang... Wish I would've picked a couple up.

Stores where sold out. I had to order them offline! They go quick but they go to that price a few times a year. Just keep checking the sales paper or online.

Shimano Chronarch 200E7 or 50E

Armand16 07-02-2012 09:21 PM

Curado e7 will give u the best bang or ur buck and will last u a lifetime with a little care.

I recently bought two e7s on eBay for 130 from a guy named Wandango that we're both legit. He sells 2 or 3 everyday and he stays on my watch list.

My wife picked one up for her and it's actually a legit reel. Doesn't outcast my Lew's but can't beat it. I've only played with it in the yard when she wasn't home cause I'm not allowed to touch her fishing stuff and vice versa.
