Powder Coating Rims

Anyone ever have their truck rims powder coated? I like the style rims I already have, I just want them black. Anys pointers, pros, or cons to doing this? Is having them painted a better option?

Call Rimidies in Lafayette. They do a lot of that stuff and, at a fair rate. I use them frequently for wheel repair.

I did engine enamel paint on my old z.. Put two coats and it held up good.. After so many months added another coat - cost was prob under $20

How good is that stuff? I've been thinking about doing my Chevy emblems with that.

Pretty good, my lil bro inlaw did his rims and had a hard time getting it off. Friend of mine did his whole bumper today, came out slick.

Came out like this

That's pretty slick. My truck is silver and I'd like to black out my emblems to match my need bars and tool box. I figured plasti dip was the easiest way by watching a few YouTube videos.

The whole Jeep crowd is silly over Plasti-dip ....

Would you have to take the tires off to plasti-dip
