LC AKC Retriever Hunt Test this wknd in Welsh

If you have any interest in watching some retrievers work, come out to Welsh this weekend and watch 150+ dogs be tested in all AKC HT levels. Go to the Welsh Community Center(101 Palmer St. Welsh, La 70591) Sat or Sunday morning and someone will be there to give detailed directions to the farms we are running on. We will be running dogs Sat 8am-6pm Sunday 8am-3pm.

just curious, how is an akc hunt test different from the UKC version?

Just ran my puppy in my first ukc hunt test a couple weeks ago.

The best thing would be for you to go watch. But there are no shots fired from the line, head to toe camo is not reqired, there are no limits on distances, and generally the marks and blinds are a little more technical.

This one is a hunt test not a field trial. There are distance limits in all levels for marks and blinds. But everything else you stated is correct. As well as the judging is a little tougher along with the technical tests.

Yes, rain or shine. No for lightening. Pecan orchard rd. will have a couple tests on it if you don't want to stop by headquarters.
