1/22/12 Duck Report
 

Finished the season with a great hunt with my buddy near Iowa in his rice field. We shot a 5 man limit yesterday morning very early. We killed a couple of spoons early then let them pass the rest of the morning. It was an amazing hunt. I can't wait until next year....

To make the trip even better my dog was able to quickly retrive all of the birds. I have too much dog for a rookie, once I learn how to handle him he will be great.

Saturday was slow for us in the Sabine Refuge, we only brought six back (2 hunters). Everyone around us did well, we just guessed wrong that morning. Jared went back on Sunday and quickly limited.

Great way to close out the season!

Not this year, I plan to spend all my extra money this year on duck leases. ;) I am not angry at the fish anymore.

Good places to hunt seem very hard to find. I need to save my dollars and be prepared to spend so it seems.

I don't blame you at all!!! If I wasn't able to hunt multiple spots this year I would have had a very bad year.

Nice way to end the season......nothing like killing greenheads in 70 degree weather...

Great hunt Casey. Love to see those big ole smiles on the kids faces. Your older son looks exactly like you. It was nice meeting you and your family saturday at the boat show. Good luck finding a lease for the 2012-2013 season.
