Where do you hunt Shane? I'm on a lease up norht of Winfield.

cabwiz2 10-29-2009 08:17 AM

Right outside of Oakdale on the Calcasieu River. New to the lease this year so don't know what to expect. The good thing is that I checked the feeders last Friday at !0 am and all the corn was eaten off of the ground, so that means they are coming during daylight hours.

wtretrievers 10-29-2009 08:51 AM

Just a little hint. Sunday was out riding around looking & saw 11 from 3-4pm. My buddy sent me pictures of 4 bucks (one good one) feeding in his pasture at 12:10 yesterday.

Red Devil 10-29-2009 09:07 AM

Yeah, according to the astro table, the peak time for Sat. is from 9 am tp 1 pm.

adamsfence 10-29-2009 09:40 AM

cabwiz2 10-29-2009 09:51 AM

longsidelandry 10-29-2009 09:52 AM

I wish everybody the best of luck this weekend. I also have to wait til the weekend before Thanksgiving, that's when rifle opens in Area 1.

I agree, 11 AM to 1 PM I am usually in the stand. If I am going to change locations, I move around 10 AM or wait until after 1 PM.

This 6 pt came running by me at 11:55 AM on Dec. 29.

.

Red Devil 10-29-2009 11:51 AM

Nice kill. I hope I get a buck this year. Got two does last year and missed the biggest buck of my life. Mis judged the distance. Won't happen this year.

Dink 10-29-2009 12:01 PM

Red Devil 10-29-2009 01:23 PM
