Paul, if you're referring to saltwater.....ABSOLUTELY!!!! A bass fisherman will drop $30-40 on a custom crank in a heartbeat.

On tackle warehouse there are topwater baits up to $40. And I think those "spy baits" out of Japan go higher than that.

I ran an Ebay auction last year for a Bagley Balsa B-1 in the bluegill pattern pictured in my avatar. It sold for $71.01...a $6 crank off the shelf. Highest on a Face Book auction has been $61 for a Storm Wiggle Wart. Them tourney guys don't care what it costs. :shaking:

Rat wake bait $150, some of the Cali guys throwing $200 custom swim baits. I get butt hurt when a senko tears on 1 fish..

Oh damn. I hadn't seen that. If I was throwing a $200 swim bait I'd probably have it attached to a 3/4" chain.

I can list a Mann's Baby 1 Minus in a croaker or mullet pattern...$8-10 on a good day. Same lure in a bluegill or shad pattern....$18-20 all day. That's the difference in bass and saltwater fishermen. :)
