Oyster Tonging

Boy after all that crying how they would all go under because of new law by going back to tonging

Since Oyster Season opened
I have seen 2 boats tonging

Yes 2 only

They had 50-70 a day when dredging was legal

Now only 2 ?

I had customers in the boat with me the other day and we watched a guy diving for oysters under the old pier at Vincent's bayou.

They used to drag for oysters to within 2 feet of the Shell Keys, south of Marsh Island.
