Tips for Big Lake?

Greetings all.

I am planning to bring an old friend over from Houston tomorrow and I am hoping someone can give me an update on the bite in and around BL.

Last time I was there we really got into the reds along the ship channel, only a few trout were caught.

Thank you in advance my fellow fisherman.

Usually catch reds along ship channel in certain spots but all we got the other day was one sheepshead and one 17 inch drum

Always had pretty good luck with oyster reefs in big lake and the jetties.
