Girls First Teal Hunt

4 Attachment(s)
Saturday was set aside for soccer, but I got to take my 7 and 2.5 yr old daughters to make their first teal hunt this morning. Got to the camp Saturday afternoon and Uncle Tony had a big pot of jambalaya rolling for dinner. We went shoot a few doves and made it back in time for that terrible football game. At least the food and cold pops were good.

I was expecting a much shorter hunt this morning, but that didn't happen. Hunted until 9 to get our 24. All my girls wanted to do was get in the pond and splash around so I had to let them once we were done.

We shot 13 limits this morning. Several guys took last week off and killed 24-48 bird limits everyday. Hope this keeps up for another week.

Two pintail would have died this morning if it was big duck season. Hovered over decoys twice.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Teal are bigger in Texas Nick. You and Jullian should head over this weekend.

South of Houston a few hours. Lots of coonasses on the lease with me. We have some rice but it's mainly flooded cow pastures with coffee beans.
