We always go to "the Plantation", granny owns a condo there, its about 10 miles west of gulf shores, but tbhe beaches are private and your 15 min from the nite life, and its not a sulphur strip joint!!!

Gonna be down there from July 20-29 for my boy's World Series. If you haven't been by then I'll give you the scoop when we return. I do know we are staying beachfront. Orange Beach, I believe.
BTW, Like the new avatar. Reminds me of a milk commercial.
GOT OIL?

My wife and I love "The Original Oyster House". Its kinda touristy, but damn good.

Stay at the Caribe. Great place 12 pools at the resort, beach just across the street, and they have 100+ boat docks in the back so you can bring your boat and dont need a guide.

latravcha 07-08-2011 12:46 PM

The resturant next to the Caribe is great.
Also have a bait dock next to the condos

Take her to a nice place for dinner. Cosmo on the canal rd in Orange Beach. Great Food, patio, live music. Go early if you don't want to wait an hr for a table.

We stayed at the Perdido Key Beach Resort one time. We loved it! I think they have like 4 resturants in the resort that are good and they have free vallet parking that is sweet. You just call from your room before you head down and when you get down your car is at the front door.
