Looking to trade

I have a 870 remington express magnum in awesome shape. Shoots 2 3/4" and 3" shells. I have mossy-oak break-up synthetic stocks and 2 chokes (modified and full) with 2 choke wrenches and a soft case. Looking to trade for any kind of shotgun that shoots 2 3/4"------3"-----and 3 1/2". Going to be goose hunting this year and need the little extra BOOM. Anyone got anything ?? Might even throw in a few dollars.

You don't need 3.5s to shoot geese.

Jordan 10-05-2009 01:19 PM

i prefer it...

I have killed more geese with 3" # 3's than anything else. They will reach up and get them. Just get some and pattern your chokes to see which one patterns the best. Mine is the Improved modified and my patternmaster Xtended full

i wanna get one of those all-n-one chokes... their $99 (last time i checked) i cant find them for my gun.... demmit the luck !!!

the only thing you get extra from 3.5s is a sore shoulder......

ya dude..3 1/2s dont give you any greater FPS or velocity..it gives you a couple more bb's and a very small difference in powder load..which pretty much means thier pointless to shoot...i know when i go goose huntin in kaplan we always use 3's...the only time i shoot them big boys is when im in stuttgart in that flooded timber for somereason the birds fly soo high there...so i pop em wit that 3 1/2 inch Tungston 10 gauge.....mah Browning 10 gauge eats high flyin mallards to pieces..

That's exactly why I shelled out the dough for my 10ga. i too read some where that if you are going to shoot a 3 1/2, might as well shoot the 10 so you have the extra powder to go with the extra bbs.

How much you want for the 870?

Jordan 10-08-2009 09:39 PM

I'd rather trade it for a super express magnum. That's my baby there. Lemme think about it. I'll get back with ya

speck-chaser 10-08-2009 09:44 PM

well, I love my 3 1/2's Thats all I shoot. I do hunt in the swamp though, and some of our shots are through the branches so the few extra bbs help.

Jordan 10-08-2009 09:49 PM

That's me. I hunt flooded timber and creek bottoms. Gonna get to hunt down in venice this year for geese. They told me to find a 3 and 1/2" shootin gun

Natural Light Kid 12-08-2009 12:37 AM

I'm not interested in trading but I do have a pratically new Mossberg 835 that I would sell. Max4 camo, 26" barrell, and about one box of shells fired through it.

Jordan 12-08-2009 09:48 AM

it shoot 3 1/2's ?
