Got pretty much all you need in Kaplan. Reds and drum on the rocks in the south portion of the lake. Cork or jig on the bottom. The platforms usually hold reds on the bottom. For catfish fish the north bank of the lake with a jig head under a cork. Cast in all directions, not just at the bank. Can probably pick up a few reds there too. Stay about 60- 80 yards off the bank cause it gets shallow. If you bringing the kids, cheat and use some skrimps. Good luck!

Be careful of troutlines protruding out from bank along canal and lake ...they stick up above waterline like clothes lines. Fish the rocks stating on se side lake w/ market shrimp tipped on 1/4 oz jighead and glow colored grub under poppin cork about 18'' deep.throw near rocks....been catchin reds and cats in that area.....good luck
