Window unit recommendations?

Hey fellas I was curious if anyone had any recommendations on a window unit

It is for our bedroom while we are sleeping so that we can leave our central air a little higher

I bought a frigidaire last August and it quit working so I was able to return in under warranty .. Needless, to say we've been less than satisfied with it since the day we bought it

Any advice would help .. Thanks fellas!

I have one in my living room that I bought right after Katrina. I use it mostly for when the power is out or when it's really hot and we have people over coming in and out.

Its a Haire

I've been contemplating this same thing. I like it cold in our bedroom like 70 degrees but my kids always kick their covers off so I have to sacrifice. I'll be watching this thread

The frigidaire in my bedroom was a 6500 btu ... Even though I wasn't satisfied it may not have been a frigidaire problem, it may have been an underpowered problem

I don't think so, I have an 8500. It cools my living room, kitchen, and dining area. Probably an area 1,000 square feet or so. That's with a ceiling fan on the "blow your *** off the couch" setting. 10' ceilings in the living room and 9 in the kitchen.

Its probably closer to 800-850 square feet, get the biggest 110 unit you buy.

If you have 220 outlet in the area get a 220 unit. Uses less electricity and will last longer than a straining a 110 unit.

Friedrich window units have always been my choice
