Specks in Elton?

A friend of mine has a family farm in Elton, LA and we are thinking about hunting it for the speck opener. Anyone hunt there or near there? I'm assuming there would be birds there being that it is just a little north of Jennings and Roanoke area.

More in likely will be a better 2nd split area, for specks at least.

Given the area I would think there would be some birds around on opening day...

I would be cautiously optimistic.

Did you ever pull the trigger on a "fancy" duck call??

Last friday morning I was in bowhunting just south of Whiteville, La and heard first flock of Specks fly overhead. They are definitely in Louisiana.
