Ran outta Sabine jetties and found big Spanish mackerel, kings, big jack crevalle, and black tips to 4 1/2 ft. at our first stop at a satellite rig around 23 miles out. Not really what we were looking for, so we bumped out to 28 miles and found the same species at our next two stops. Not a meat haul by any means, but it was fun to fight some big fish. Ugly duckling caught a nice king that went about 30lbs, and his 17yo son caught the biggest fish of his life, a 30lb jack. That jack had him walking circles around the boat lol. Not a bad trip at all for a school night and the first run past the rocks of the season. Just what we needed to really get us pumped for the G.I. trip. I have no pics due to the fact I slipped into the water unexpectedly at the ramp, and ruined my phone. Maybe UglyDuckling will post a few.

Oh yeah.....water was terrible. Barely green at 28 miles.
