Homemade Cinnamon Rolls For my Granddaughter
Not that I needed an excuse to make these but last night my granddaughter slept over so I decided to make some homemade rolls for breakfast for her. These came out fantastic! Lately I've been using fresh cake yeast instead of the dry packaged stuff. I don't know but I think this makes whatever it's used to make rise better and faster. The dough which is like three times it's original size. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09953.jpg Rolls made and ready to rise. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09954.jpg I guess I forgot to get a picture of them after they were risen. At that point they went into the fridge overnight so all I had to do was take 'em out and let them warm a bit and maybe rise a little more and then bake. Here they are right out of the oven. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09955.jpg Annnnd...... after cooling a bit they were iced. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09959.jpg First one removed......... http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09960.jpg I might have to do these more often! They are sooooo......... tender and delicious! http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSC09961.jpg |
