New to Chicot

Just moved to the Evangeline Parish area about two weeks ago for work, so planning on fishing Chicot and Miller's a lot. I get off work at 4, so that leaves me with time in the afternoons to fish. All I have is my pirogue, so I can't do any serious running around in the afternoons, but figured its a good way to get out and start getting to know the lake.

Not looking for anything specific, but any advice on how to fish the lake, especially late summer afternoons, would be helpful. Never really done much sacalait fishing before, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Best advice...... read BIG-C's reports.

Cut BIG-C's grass, wash his vehicles and boat. Basically try to become really good buddies with BIG-C

I'll be back in 10 days. I can take you around in Chicot and show you some good places and some places to go with your pirogue.

Never opposed to making some new fishing buddies.
