July 19th SC Tournament Rules & Update

1 Attachment(s)
This will serve as our official thread which will later be moved to the events section. The tournament will be on July 19th (at Calc point)and the rules and divisions are the same as last year with the exception of our charity changing due to the previous charity serving a full term and the boundaries now clearly exclude Sabine Lake and Texas waters.

The entry fee is once again $50 and includes an entry, shirt and lunch. The youth division (14 & under) is still free with a paid adult entry. Nothing changed in the Kayak division. We can add a ladies division if five or more ladies respond to this thread and are interested.

You can now pay your tournament entry, I have PayPal up and going. Go through the SC store and choose SC 2014 Tournament entry. There is also a $5 trash pot option available.

Please check out www.thelittleangelsfoundation.org to learn more about our charity this year. Southern will post later with more information about the organization.

Please prepay as early as possible so we can get a good head count for our shirt order.

Casey and, Moderators, thank you so much for the consideration on the Little Angels Foundation! This organization is a phenomenal group that comes to the aid of parents in a time most of us don't want to think of. Bobby and Shae are two of the nicest people I've ever met and, touring their facility rocked me to my core!

This is the same group that we assisted in building the "Bat Mobile" for last year. We donated several hundred man hours to this project and, who knows how much in materials! I believe in this group!

Below is a link to one of their videos. Take a look at it. Keep a tissue handy!

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for choosing The Little Angels foundation,
This is one Charity We support in my house. I know that the death of a child is something none of us want to think about or discuss, But it does happen and when it does these folks step in and do everything they can to ease the burden that the grieving parents face. I know that bobby and shae and the rest of the group will be so very thankful .

Putting my team together. We're not too good at speck chasing, so the trash fish pot is our best angle.

Do sharks and rays count in the trash fish pool, or just drum, gafftops, gar, etc.?

The rules say, "14. largest trash fish to consist of any inshore species other than trout, redfish, and flounder." I figure if they are caught on the beach or at the jetties, they should count, right?

In number 17 or the rules... It states paypal signed by Casey prior to aug 3rd etc... May want to change that.

Someone weighed in a cobia one year as a trash fish! That was BS.

If rules say anything besides trout, redfish, and flounder. Then anything else should count. Ex. Ling, sharks, whatever
