People swear by his clips

Shaw hooked me up one day with one..very convenient for switching hard baits...top water to suspending. No more cutting and tying. I like them. Benefits people who dont have a lot of rods and reels.

Norton are hard to get lures on. But they will never come off either.

May be able to find them local. But just for reference.

I've had several larger fish break the Nortons. Don't like em. I use a Tsunami brand clip.

RAGINJROB 09-26-2011 09:25 AM

Ive had several reds mangle the nortons while fishing topwater. Never lost one on a fish though. I have had corkies cast off using them also. Not fun watching a $10 bait flying through the air without lline attached.

SaltyShaw 09-26-2011 12:04 PM

I use nortons on topwatersand have caught plenty big reds and decent trout on them with no problems. I will not use them with my suspended baits I have lost crazy croakers and corkys to them like above said they just fly off or come off underwater

X3 on the Tony Clips. For me, they are easier to use when hooking on a topwater vs any kind of swirl clip.

If they can't be easily had in Louisiana, shoot me a PM and we can work something out. I work one street over from Fish and Tackle Unlimited.

I use the nortons on my topwaters also , but have had the same issue with crazy crokers comming off. I was told to put a split ring on the suspended baits and it would solve the problem. I just aint got around to tryin it yet .

Get in on This!!!!

I found a pack of Tony Clips in my garage last night. They come in packs of five. I will mail one clip to the first five interested members that post a quick reply and that have not tried them. I am not affiliated with Tony Clips and there are no strings attached. I am doing this for the hell of it. Come on!
