Xpress H20B with ETEC

Anybody on here run a H20B with an Evinrude ETEC? Looking at a used boat with a 135 ETEC. I've been doing a little research on that engine. Seems to make closer to 145-150 at the prop which is awesome, but I've also read that they have some reliability issues.

I have a 2010 25 HP Etec with 25 hrs. on it. I have had to have the fuel pump changed twice and the water pump changed 3 times. It was all under warranty but dayuum!

My brother's had multiple water pump issues with his 25 etec too.

I've heard nothing but bad things on etec. My brother's neighbor had one and nothing but problems and poor dealer service.

I would not take an etec unless the deal is too good to be true.

I have a 2007 75 etec on a stratos bass boat and I have had ZERO trouble with it. It has literally never been to any shop for anything. Great gas mileage and very quiet! Just my experience, good luck with whatever decision that you make.

I have a 2007 Etec 150 hp and absolutely love it. Only problem I had was getting the prop right-sized, after that, no issues.
