Crawfish Boil Question

Been a while since I boiled crawfish, so I am looking for a guide to know how much vegetables to buy (potatoes, corn, onions, etc..). Boiling 150lbs - is there an easy formula like #lbs per person like there is for crawdads?

adamsfence 05-07-2010 10:03 AM

i normally just figure 2 pot and 2 corn per person.

i would say at least 10 packs of corn and 5 potatoes

Don't forget the sausage, turkey necks, brussels sprouts, celery, elephant garlic, bok choy, and boudin. You gotta boil the boudin in a mesh bag though. No matter how hard you try to stop it, one is going to burst on you.

No man, I'm on call this weekend and we're busy as all hell. I'll be there on the 21st though.

yak'em-n-stack'em 05-07-2010 10:21 AM

its like a chinese cabbage

blackmamba 05-07-2010 10:25 AM

Throw in some baby carrots too

coachlaw 05-07-2010 11:26 AM

It's in your produce aisle. Try it in a boil. You'll like it. I throw it in after the fire is off and just soak it for about 15 mins. No need to cook it down. Just let it get some juices in it.
