First Specks

1 Attachment(s)
First season ever hunting in a rice field. I've been trying to learn and call specks since opening weekend. Well today for the first time this season there wasn't a ton of shooting this morning. I was able to call in 5 speckle bellies and shoot a double. Then later that morning I shot my first pintail.
Hunting south of Liberty Farm riad in Kaplan

Congrats, that's an accomplishment for someone just beginning.

Awesome. It's a rush the first time you can get them specks to come in huh?

Congrats!! I guess I need to book a hunt and get a few special bellies under my belt. Never shot any of those. Shot a couple of snows in the past from just passing a lil too low in the duck blind, and Ive shot a few more another kinda way:grinpimp: but would like to shoot some decoying in.

Seejng those feet hang and hearing them talk back is a adrenaline rush. I am still shaking; when they hit the duck pond I was faster picking them up than a seasoned lab

Hell just yesterday I had 3 give me a hard leg. We hit em with the call once and they never flapped their wings again till I called the shot. Cupped up from 300 yards up swung around the back and came gliding into the side.

Congrats

Great job. I wish I could accomplish that. My speck calling leaves alot to be desired.
