Im Lovin it!

NO not Mc Donalds, https://smileyshack.files.wordpress....gif?w=150&h=77

After reading the thread about streaming TV I did some checking into it.

I was paying just over $120 for DirectTV. About 6 months ago I called to complain about how high my bill was and that theres nothing on but re-runs (even the damn news on Sunday evening). So they lowered my bill to 75, but yet it was the same ol re-run crap. It eventually crept its way back up to over 100$

Well I had enough. I had cable high speed internet installed 150mpbs, picked up a Amazon fire box, (with Prime) got my Hulu, and Sling. And now I can pretty much watch WHAT I WANT WHEN I WANT!! I also like the Alexa feature. I also like that I can take my Amazon video/Sling/Hulu with me anywhere I go, camping, boating, fishing! Hell if the tides not right on one of my honey holes, kick back and watch BLADE RUNNER on my phone!

Highly recommend dumping cable and satellite TV and streaming......

Thanks for the thread guys!!

I know my direct TV bill is insane. Especially what I pay for NFL Sunday ticket. I have direct and Sunday ticket at my house and the camp so I get to pay it two times.....

Internet in Hackberry is really slow and not consistent so that creates a problem with streaming over there.

Yea we need to make that move as well, it will be nice to drop that bill.
Direct TV is going to be like blockbuster.

Check and see if you can stream your phone data. When we go to our place in AR I use my phone as a hot spot and stream TV, although it does use a lot of data, I got in on a deal with ATT a while back so data isn't a problem.

Hulu and sling tv on your preferred device is the way to go. And you can get the SEC network on sling for $5.

I use a mini android computer and add a wireless keyboard and mouse. ( search on Amazon or eBay) quad core processor 2 gigs of ram $75 bucks. I can download any app from the google Play store.

Bad Internet

I would love to do this but I live in an area where I can't get cable, ATT Uverse, or anything else. I have DSL through ATT and it is horribly slow. I don't have any other options for streaming. I have an LG smart TV with a built-in Roku but it is useless with my slow connection speed. I'm currently looking into satellite internet but it is costly with limited amount of free data.

Anyone having this issue?

I pay 49/mo for 100/10 and I can watch any sports game, movie, tv show, etc.. that I want. It's nice not paying so much for terrible quality stuff.

We pay an extra 20 a month or so for some things like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime...We have a Roku and there are a lot of free streaming channels on there. Youtube has so many episodes of shows. www.watchseries.li for tv shows. www.sportstream.me or www.sportstream.tv depending on what I want to watch.

I just wish Suddenlink wasn't such an azzhole company and put a data cap on internet...Comcast is going through that and I believe going to court over the issue.

At the deer camp we just pay for a extra receiver. Only like $10 a month extra or something

Yes and no...........

Yes, but you have to get an "all access subscription" to each individual network CBS NBC ABC and at 7$ a pop it adds up OR you can get a 25$ HDTV antenna and you will get them for free

With sling TV you can. Just have to upgrade your package. It's an extra $5 per month.

I just use an HD antennae. Catch all the stations.
