Help with hunting lease
 

Trying to find some land to lease for deer and possibly squirrel for the next hunting season. Not trying to break the bank just trying to find a small lease within a few hours of abbeville. I haven't hunted in 15 years and feel the urge to do something else besides fishing. I searched on the Web and can't come up with anything. Any advice on how to locate land available for lease in my area would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know any of the clubs around your area, but you might try these 3 timber companies. They lease a lot of smaller tracts of land.

Put an ad in the Abbeville Meridional and Kaplan Herald saying "local man looking for deer hunting land in Verm parish". you might get lucky, there are a few tracts of woodland in the parish, someone might be willing to lease you 100-200 acres.
But know, there are not too many, if any, 140+ class deer in Verm parish!
