Recommended Yamaha Outboard Dealers

Guys, I am looking to re power my bay boat with a Yamaha. I wanted to get some opinions on the good, the bad, & the ugly on Yamaha dealers in Acadiana. I know there are a few places that will do your warranty work but cannot sell you a loose motor. Any info good or bad on dealers will be greatly appreciated. Tight lines to all!

A little outside your geographic area, but I called all around the BR area. Ended up buying from Breaux & Daigle in Pierre Part. Beat everyone's prices by a long shot. No service or warranty issues came up so I can't comment on their service department other than they hung the new motor in about 2 hours while I waited.

H&M in Crowley is where I got my first new Yamaha, and I bought it to put on a hull myself.

But from whom ever has the cheapest price. Then take it wherever you want for warranty service if needed. Don't think so far ahead and assume you will need warranty work.

I agree with tboy...Breaux n Daigle in Pierre Part....I've bought 2 yammy's from them let them know I was coming from out of town and had them hung while I waited...Thought I had a problem once and soonest service I could get was a one month wait locally...Called Breaux n Daigle and they told me bring it in and they checked it out while I was there...I don't know if they still do but they used to take trade in's...

C &H in crowley or Breaux & Dagle in Piearre Part will be the cheapest place to buy a Yamaha outboard in Louisiana. I personally wouldn't get my motor serviced at C & H, but I have had great service with Breaux and Dagle.

you could also try Cajun outboards, I know they have great prices on Mercs and they sell Yamadog as well.

good luck.
