ready for the season

ALL THIS TALK ABOUT DUCK HUNTING IS KILLING ME SO YALL PLEASE STOP. THIS IS MY SECOND YEAR OF DUCK HUNTING AND LET ME TELL YOU GUYS IM HOOKED, LAST YEAR I WENT HUNTING FOR MY FIRST TIME ON A THURSDAY AT THE END OF THE FIRST SPLIT, FRIDAY I BOUGHT ME A BOAT AND A NEW GUN AND DEEKS AND I WAS OFF TO LEARN NEW THINGS. THANKS TO MY BUDDY MATT AND HIS DOG T-**** (AKA RUFF) THAT GOT MY BLOOD BOILING FOR THE WATERFOWL CREATURES. AT THE END OF LAST YEAR I TOOK RUFF BY MYSELF ON A HUNT AND DECIDED I NEED MY OWN DOG, SO THE DAY AFTER THE SEASON CLOSED I WAS OFF AND PURCHASED BRILEY, I GOT HIM AT 7 WEEKS AND WAS CLUELESS ON WHAT TO DO AS FAR AS TRAINING SO I READ BOOKS AND WATCHED VIDEOS ON DOG TRAINING AND AT 8.5 MONTHS NOW HE IS DOING TRIPLE MARKS, BLIND RETRIEVES, HAND SIGNALS AND WORKS ON THE WHISTLE. I KNOW ITS EASY TO PAY AND GET YOUR DOG TRAINED BUT I ONLY PAID 400 FOR MY DOG AND IN THE ECONOMY THESE DAYS ITS HARD FOR ME TO FORK OUT 450-500 A MONTH FOR TRAINING. THIS GOES OUT FOR ALL THE GUYS WITH NEW DOGS THAT IS LOOKING FOR A TRAINER. GO TO YOUR NEAREST MIRROR AND LOOK IN IT AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR TRAINER. ITS EASY TO TRAIN, JUST TAKES TIME. BUT IN THE END ITS WORTH IT. AND WHEN PEOPLE SEE YOUR DOG WORK AND ASK YOU "WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR DOG TRAINED" AND YOU SAY " I TRAINED HIM/HER" I WILL ASSURE YOU, YOU WILL SMILE WHEN YOU SAY THAT. ANYWAYS ITS 24 DAYS TILL THE SEASON STARTS AND ITS KILLING ME. YALL HAVE A FUN AND SAFE SEASON. OH AND THANKS TO LA SPORTSMAN.COM FOR THE CLASSIFIED ADDS IN THE AID OF ME FINDING MY DOG. ILL BE LOOKING FOR A CHOCOLATE FEMALE SOON AS A SECONDARY HUNTING DOG AND A PERSONAL DOG FOR MY GIRLFRIEND SO IF YALL KNOW OF ANYONE HAVING PUPS AROUND EARLY DECEMBER/JANUARY LET ME KNOW. THANKS.

here is a few pics of my Briley aka JL's Briley Shotgun Choke

Calls stay in the truck for blowing. Wife can't stand them. Been bringing them offshore. My guys are sick of hearing a duck call. But I love it. Also been tuning up the dogs. Had a run in with a gator yesterday. First time I've seen gators in this bayou for 5 yrs.
