Pier Rod Clamps

We'll be fishing off the pier at Grand Isle next week, and I'm having trouble finding well reviewed rod holders to use on the pier. Anyone have any recommendations?

We just lean ours against the rail and leave the drag loose.

There are a few simple ones left there semi-permanently.

We have enough fishing stuff to carry around.

A friend of mine actually came out with his own product called the pier-a-mount. I've never used it, but seems like a pretty nifty product.

haha

if you put enough poles out you can block everyone else off the pier, if only you could reel in more than one pole at a time:grinpimp::grinpimp:

We'll have several kids between 10 and 16, so they may end up being my rod holders. I'll have to check out that pier-a-mount. Mathgeek, we rented a house on the beach about a mile past Bridgeside. Any hope to grab a couple bulls out there this time of year? We tore them up at the pier in July, and only had one good hook up in two days on the beach.

Never worked the beach at GI. We go over to Elmer's for beach fishing and cast into the pass. The slope is kinda gentle in most places casting S from GI. I'd wade far out or kayak out baits if I tried it. Water should still be pretty warm.

We use pvc rod holders at the beaches.
