Math Help

Amy knits 1/6 of a sweater every 4/5 of an hour. How many sweaters can she knit in an hour.

Goooh 09-23-2014 09:20 PM

.208333

SLAB 09-23-2014 09:22 PM

Correct. Take 1/6 which is .1666667 divide it by 4 and that gives you what 1/5 would be. Then multiply by 5 to get what 1 =

Uuhhh...34? I'll ask my kids when I get back in town. I never stayed awake in math class long enough. Or is this some new common core stuff, I don't know- and my bride is a teacher. Obviously- I frustrate her!!

when you do what??

EpicCajun 09-24-2014 07:33 AM

42

The answer is zero: she can't knit any sweaters in an hour, Amy is to slow.
She can only knit roughly a fifth per hour, she better speed up or she gonna get fired.

But yea, just multiply 1/6 by 5/4 and there is your answer.

AlexOrtego 09-24-2014 09:07 AM

the real question is...... WHO LET HER OUT THE KITCHEN?

Ragin_Cajun 09-24-2014 09:17 AM

NONE! Who wants to wear .208333 of a sweater? If she lived in Louisiana, she would be crabbing! LOL

Sir, you are in for a miserable ride here at SC if he offended you by that. None of my business, but you may want to relax and enjoy life a bit more. Otherwise it will pass you by and then everyone will be calling you the old mean guy living in the neighborhood that hates the world.
