The availabilty of shallow water boats, has made desolate locations an easy outing nowadays.

There are some Secrets left........ And that is moslty time!!! There are a few areas or spots that will produce a good number of trout but only a certain time of year.. You might fish this area 11 months and not catch nothing then that one month its on......... This is what we avid anglers have left to go by..... We now have to jump ahead of the trout and other fisherman!! This is one reason I keep a good log of my trips!! Also tagging info helps!! I can track the fish over the years and it almost never fails.....They will repeat and repeat every year

The obvious is now the best place to fish.........

that is a Bill Dance quote LOL

Totally agree with ya Salty. My dad told me many moons ago that there will always be tons of pressure wherever the fishing is good and that is definitely the case on Big Lake as it is with many other locations.

To the point about fishing your secret spot and then having someone pull up next to you and marking it on a GPS - my question is, what are you going to do about it? Let me answer it for you - nothing! Last I checked, no one owned any reef or hole.

I used to fish with a guide who told me if you see a fisherman without a smile on his face, give him yours. Now I am not advocating posting up the location of every reef on the lake or telling everyone at the dock where to go, but I am advocating helping people out and just truly enjoying your time out on the water. I love catching fish, but I feel blessed any time I can just get out on the water and enjoy some time with my friends.

"W" 01-26-2010 10:08 PM

So if I put my GPS up for bid........What would the price start at?

Reel Bender 01-26-2010 10:09 PM

Brand Name Invicta
Model Russian Diver

I just found out about Invicta and they have some cool watches and are suppossed to be pretty good. Chek em out.

This thing is huge, it is probably almost as big as w.

We now return you to the thread already in progress.

Salty 01-26-2010 10:09 PM

There's a thread started for Bender's watch. :smokin:

Now, back to biness.

W is a student of the game. He has put in his time to learn the lake. A characteristic of a good fisherman is being able to adjust. When you're a student....it's much easier.
