Contraband Days concerts. - rules for taking your boat

Anyone know what the deal is about taking a boat to the Lake Charles Contraband Days concerts ins few weeks?

Wayne toups is on one stage and dint know if you can see that stage from the water or if people do that, or what the rules are on that.

Also, I usually stay at a camp in hackberry, so that would be a little far for 10 at night. Anybody know of anywhere to stay up there where u can dock your boat also (L'Auberge, Golden Nugget, etc)??

Docking Fees Higher than Giraffe well u know

They may have some big ballas that will chine in but I know La'Burge used to charge $20 a foot to dock there overnight, but they would rather comp you than charge you. ;) Soo if you have some points that may work for you.

Be careful leaving the concert going back to dock, whole lotta drunk people making a mad dash to boat launch. IMO it's like running the gauntlet of death with a bunch of trashy drunk rednecks trying to get home before the ol'lady passes out from drinking too much Malibu and Boones Farm Strawbeery Hill all day.

There is a marina at the civic center with full hookups. May want to book now but it may be full already. You can't see stage from water. You can tie up to sea wall and walk to concert. Can't bring alcohol off boat though. Must buy from vendors.

Depending on size boat you have, you can anchor between dock & Lakeshore drive a little ways off, you should be able to see stage, will definitely be able to hear.

Golden nugget has slips with power and wash down, they charge $2.00/ft. I used one for a couple days last week.

You have to bring your own hose for the wash down though
