That was wild....I guess it is just another reason why you should wear a life jacket and hook up the kill switch lanyard...

BIGJ 09-07-2009 06:44 PM

Better to hit the rocks than running into someone.
But it'll still make you sick if its your boat.

Mediumheavyaction6'6 09-07-2009 06:47 PM

that is crazy and it sucks for the boat owner

bay_slayer 09-07-2009 06:47 PM

Deadly D 09-07-2009 08:04 PM

yak'em-n-stack'em 09-07-2009 11:21 PM

You can't beat that hydraulic steering. I know that couldn't be cable steering because it would have yanked to one side and been going in circles. Also, that was good advertisement for the boat manufacturer. (Contender) Most hulls would have exploded on impact. Amazing...For all you guys who like to lay down and take a nap on the way in, makes you think twice about that idea...

flounder_smacker 09-08-2009 04:30 PM

man they could have got close and jumped on board. i know if that was my boat i would have tried it.

Zachary Boy 09-08-2009 06:15 PM

Smacker, it wasn't the people filming that owned the boat. The owner and his passenger got "slungshot" out of the boat and someone else picked them out the water. Jumping in the boat = bad idea! That's why we buy insurance....P.S. If you miss the boat, you get vedge-a-matic...250 HP blender...

SULPHITE 09-08-2009 08:33 PM

yeah that would have been risky...

Yea... And also when those guys swam up to the boat after it hit the rocks, and that motor was still running. A good little wake could have knocked it back in the water and got it going again. Its a slim chance, but why take the chance.. I would have come from the side.
